Meet Pun Siripun

Meet Pun Siripun, a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering who is pursuing a minor through the Sustainability, Energy, and Environment Fellows Program (SEE FP). He’s one of the latest additions to the iCAP Transportation Team.

Siripun is primarily interested in electric vehicle (EV) use on campus, and is currently exploring how data analysis can be used to understand trends between campus events and EV charging frequency. He also works with other members of the iCAP Team to propose new solutions to transportation issues on campus based on a holistic evaluation of student reports, case studies, and funding availability.

For Siripun, participating in the Transportation Team is about applying an interdisciplinary lens to engineering and sustainable technology that can meaningfully change the way people live their lives. “Being on the iCAP Team, I am able to further this core value, as well as collaborate with individuals across campus to bring change,” he said. Through his work, Siripun also hopes to gain experience in policy to complement his technical studies.

In his free time, Siripun loves to cycle and explore new places. A longtime hiker from the Pacific Northwest, he can often be found hitting the trails and taking photos to document his experience!
