This year’s 12th annual Boneyard Creek Community Day set for Saturday April 29th, 2017 was cancelled due to weather and volunteer safety concerns. While we were unable to reschedule the community-wide event, Urbana has scheduled a smaller-scale cleanup for Saturday, August 5th from 9am to Noon.

Volunteers will clean the Boneyard Creek from Mathews Street on campus downstream to University Avenue in front of Carters Furniture.  The creek should be low enough that boots would work for much of the creek stretch.  Or if you want to steer clear of mud and wet feet, you could also help by installing “Drains to Creek” medallions on storm drains.

Meet at Boneyard Creek Crossing Park at Griggs & Race Streets at 9am and break out into work groups from there.
