Herbicides are an indispensable tool for vegetation managers, but they must be used properly as off-target movement can be very damaging. Learn about common herbicide issues faced by Illinois landowners and applicators, what herbicide injury symptoms look like, and who to contact if herbicide injury is suspected. Leave with tips on herbicide application that prevents and avoids herbicide movement.

Presenter: Michelle Wisebrook, Extension Specialist, Pesticide Safety Education Program, University of Illinois. Michelle grew up on a grain and livestock farm near Mt. Auburn, Ill.  She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned a B.S. in Crop Sciences and a M.S. in Weed Science. Since 1999, she has been a University of Illinois Extension Specialist with the Pesticide Safety Education Program.  Michelle coordinates The Illinois Pesticide Review newsletter and is active in horticultural weed identification and management as well as herbicide drift injury outreach.
