Join applied economists from the U of I’s new Center for the Economics of Sustainability for four 10-minute talks on overcoming current sustainability challenges in agricultural and urban systems. Presenters Amy Ando, Madhu Khanna, Hope Michelson, and Yilan Xu of the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics will discuss “Using Nature to Stop the Next Pandemic,” “Economic and Environmental Costs and Benefits of Biofuels,” “Small Farmers and Global Value Chains – Sustaining Development?” and “Fracking: Myths and Truths.”
