Meet Sakshi Vaya, an Earth, Society, and Environmental Sustainability student and a member of the University of Illinois’ 2023-24 Zero Waste iCAP team.
Vaya works as a Zero Waste Intern with Facilities & Services, and was introduced to this team by Zero Waste Coordinator Daphne Hulse. She decided to join this specific iCAP team because of the valuable experience and exposure that the role would provide.
Her favorite aspect about being involved with this iCAP team is that she is granted a lot of flexibility and choice in the projects that she works on. Vaya also deeply appreciates the hands-on experience that she gains through this opportunity.
In her free time, Vaya enjoys spending time with her cat!
