Meet Colleen Williams

Colleen Williams, a senior Agricultural and Biological Engineering major, is a clerk for both the Agriculture, Land Use, Food, and Sequestration SWATeam and the Water and Stormwater SWATeam.

Williams is also a member of ACES Without Borders, an exchange buddy program in the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES). She likes to carry her camera around with her to “photograph any organisms unfamiliar to me,” plays the viola, and has been a member of University orchestras.

She was introduced to SWATeams through iSEE.

“One (iSEE) newsletter called for new student members, and I decided to jump on the opportunity to join,” Williams said. Now, as the clerk for two teams, she hopes to increase awareness about the possibilities for campus farmland to incorporate best management practices.

“Agriculture and our use of water have a huge influence on the environment, on climate change, and otherwise,” Williams said.
