Dr. Liu has been the principal investigator of many R&D projects related to building thermal energy systems since 2009, with a recent focus on use of low temperature geothermal energy and thermal energy storage. After receiving a PhD from Oklahoma State in 2005, he joined ClimateMaster as the Systems Engineering Manager. Dr. Liu served as the research chair at ASHRAE TC 6.8 (Geothermal Energy Utilization and Energy Recovery) and is serving as the research sub-committee chair at the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association.
