Event Details
The Illinois EPA is holding listening sessions throughout Illinois this month in preparation for developing detailed rules that will regulate the disposal and storage of coal ash. Two of these sessions will take place in Danville on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. See: bit.ly/2lWKk5d
Public input will make the rules stronger and more effective in protecting the Middle Fork from coal ash pollution long-term. The better the input, the more responsive the rules will be to solving the coal ash crisis in Vermilion County.
This meeting will help you make your comments count! It will include a slide presentation by Pam and Lan Richart, Eco-Justice Collaborative and Andrew Rehn, Prairie Rivers Network. Fact sheets will be distributed, and there will be plenty of time for questions.
