07sep9:00 am12:00 pmPlant Identification Workshop: Exploring Asteraceae

Event Details

Want to understand what differentiates a sunflower from a “daisy”? This time of year starts the season of yellow! And the family Asteraceae is one of the most enjoyable and also one of the most challenging to discern. Learn some basic terminology and defining characteristics of the family and get to know some beautiful native plants in the process! An INHS botanist will be leading us through the workshop.

All supplies will be provided. Bring comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Meet at the Garden Pavilion at the Race St entrance of Meadowbrook Park.

This event is free and open to the public (best suited for adults) but PRE-REGISTRATION is recommended so we ensure we have enough supplies. Please pre-register here: https://forms.gle/fEMZhuBKQR2zsnD97
