Event Details

Turf grass has emerged as our nation’s most abundant irrigated crop, more than tripling the amount of acreage devoted to corn. Homeowners and land managers use a mass amount of water, pesticides, and fertilizers to maintain this crop nationwide. Midwest Pesticide Action Center’s Program and Communication Manager Ryan Anderson describes the negative effects resulting from these efforts to maintain conventional lawns in urban areas and how we can address them by transitioning to natural lawns.
