Event Details

Urban Rivers is a nonprofit that reconnects communities to urban rivers through innovative rehabilitation and education, started to address two problems: how can we rehabilitate habitat in downtown Chicago while also allowing the community to enjoy nature in the city? Moreover, how can we drive a project that can be applied not only in Chicago, but in other urban rivers around the world? This talk will focus on the ecological potential of a novel habitat structure and roles that investment in nature can play in the future of urban environments.
