Please join Geography & GIS at Illinois on Wednesday, November 17th for Illinois GIS Day 2021, the annual showcase of geographic information science (GIS) and geospatial data science applications. Faculty, students, and industry leaders will share how they use GIS data and methods to tackle a wide array of social, environmental, and economic challenges.

This year’s Illinois GIS Day will include a virtual student poster competition. Submissions can include original research posters or descriptive / infographic posters. The principal authors of all submissions should be University of Illinois undergraduate or graduate students, although the work may be created in partnership with faculty advisors or collaborators. This event will be conducted entirely online in Gather.
The competition will have separate categories for entries by undergraduate and graduate students. Awards in each of the two categories will include the first prize of $300, the second prize of $200, and the third prize of $100 (six prizes total).
