In 2014-15, the Illinois Water Scholars formed a Water Council to help coordinate the group and steer communication efforts. Current Council members. In 2018, the Council was reconvened. Current members:

ILLINOIS WATER SCHOLARS BY AREA OF EXCELLENCE

As a premier research institution, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign features brilliant minds across its campus — from engineering, agriculture, physical sciences, social sciences, arts, and more — to dedicated researchers working in water fields at the various scientific surveys and the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center (ISTC, a Division of the Prairie Research Institute).
